Introduction to School Environment & Processes

Haynes Head Start is committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment where military-connected children and families can successfully transition into our school community. We recognize that military relocations often require families to quickly learn new routines and procedures, and our staff works closely with parents to ensure a smooth and positive experience. To help families navigate campus expectations, Haynes Head Start provides a Parent Hero Guide that outlines important information regarding daily communication, attendance procedures, arrival and dismissal processes, health and safety expectations, family engagement opportunities, volunteer requirements, and available support services. Families are encouraged to review this resource and maintain regular communication with campus staff through ParentSquare, parent conferences, home visits, and family engagement activities. Through strong partnerships between home and school, Haynes Head Start strives to support every child's academic, social, emotional, and developmental success while helping military-connected families feel welcomed, informed, and connected from their first day on campus.
